Tau
the consequential number Tau:
six point two eight that equals two times Pi,
sends me into a vortex. it never ends, the constant turn of the radius,
a perfectly natural relationship.
while there are infinitely many shapes with a constant diameter,
the circle is unique in having a constant radius.
just one turn makes it easy to visualize,
Tau has a special geometrical significance
in hyperspheres in arbitrary dimensions.
what of the transcendental? fundamentally simpler
radians make sense. Pi is off by a factor of two,
but dualists must come together, yin and yang
the circle of perfection, truly transcendental...one
always nudging eternity, bring infinity back down to earth!
exquisite beauty in the repeating golden ratio, Phi plus Tau, a radiant
seven point nine zero one two one nine two nine five nine one three.
knowledge is two of the half wings wherewith we fly to heaven
but first we stumbled into numbers and poorly chosen units.
for the love of numbers, it is the hottest June on record, Fahrenheit or Celcius.
remember we get further from the truth when we obscure what we say.
a love affair for the ages, Tau is rad, elegant, a real different number.
the last, the nineteenth, the three hundred in other realms
of proper time... torsion of a curve, cross of resurrection,
how much sunlight cannot penetrate the atmosphere.
wooden taw of crucifixion, the crutch cross third eye mark of immortality, Tau:
six point two eight three one eight five three zero seven one eight.
one revolution is one Tau radian. e to the i tau is equal to one...
one aesthetically pleasing formula.
