snakes and snakes

and waterways

one side a gulf flushed

down rivers

into the toilet bowl

stormwater runoff

mixes to create blooms

red tide blue-green 

and brown algae

killing the seagrass

poor water quality

starving the sea cows

dying in droves

Indian River lagoon 

count boat kills and cold stress

on the Atlantic side

but this is a final die-off
