Dear April– Where have you been?
Dear April– Where have you been?
So late you are–
I hoped and waited so long–
Early months stole your thunder–
Marched in– then snow showered ample rain–
Drought to deluge– It was May that squeezed you so thin–
Dear April– please sit, glad month– petals to the hot wind–
You know nature is disrupted–
Imperial April– between ephemeral flowers, rest here with me–
I am sorry your shift was interrupted–
