21 June 2020

a new moon eats venus

occulting the morning planet.

on the shortest night,

darkness begins its campaign

to dominate the daylight.

June solstice hums

tapping the ring of fire

like a striker on Shang.

for thunder, for lightning,

for shooting stars,

earthquakes, and volcanoes

there is a blessing.

for eclipse...

it is not a stricken luminary,

it needs no benediction backing.

wisdom comes in the night

and early morning.

moon day scatters the light

but the sun never loses power,

lunar reflection bright.

day of the moon… moonday ritual

the lord eats the moon

looking to the signs in the heavens,

truer than the science

predicting 2020 turmoil and mayhem.

the big lie…

fear and foreboding

when reason ought to be slave of passions

for eclipse decoding.

long count recount,

a sar, a saros, a saros series,

by the year 3000

there will be 2346 solar eclipses

and due to the precision of the equinox

Gamma Cephei becomes the north star!
